Seeding Trees

The proof of the pudding is in the eating - simply sowing fruit trees

As a child, everyone has probably thought or said: I'll pick up the apple seed and grow an apple tree from it!

And we've probably all been told at length why it's not that easy. We should save ourselves the trouble and disappointment.

Nevertheless, I finally gave it a try in my mid-30s 🙂 And I'm thrilled! Take a look at why:

Autumn routine sowing trees

It's been one of my favourite autumn routines for 3 years now: throwing all the seeds I've collected over the year into the area and looking forward to delicious fruit trees and other beloved trees.

It really is as uncomplicated as it sounds. Thanks to our approach, we have enough mulch or now slowly withering plants everywhere. So the seeds immediately have a protective cover. The first attempts in the vegetable garden were still covered with compost, but I no longer do this.

Don't have a garden or space for a tree? Never mind! Collect the seeds anyway and then simply sow them in wild areas 🙂

The results speak for themselves

I show and tell you more in the video. But here is a brief summary:

This year, for the first time, the majority of the fruit trees we ‘sowed’ have borne fruit. And in abundance. And incredibly tasty and juicy. That alone is reason enough for me to continue with this routine.

But there are even more advantages: without exception, the trees grown this way are ALL healthier than those bought and planted, have suffered less from the drought in summer and grow much faster!

And in terms of appearance, apricots and peaches could easily keep up with cultivated ones:
